ELASTOCOAT is an acrylic polymer modified for waterproofing applications in combination with cement. It forms a tough and elastic layer which is waterproof. It allows the coated surface to breath and resists mild acids and alkalies.
Advantage:
Excellent waterproofing performance
Excellent UV stability
Excellent compatibility with most building materials
Good flexibility
Breathable waterproof coating: allows water vapours to go out
Excellent abrasion resistance
Resistant to mild acids and alkalies
Application Procedure:
While applying ELASTOCOAT, surface preparation is the most important part. Remove all the loose materials to expose the base surface. Wash the surface with plenty of water. A 10% muriatic acid solution wash should follow. Again wash the surface with plenty of water.
Fill all the cracks, honey-combs, voids etc using cement mortar or our BONDCRETE RP repair compound. Let the surface dry completely. Mix 1 part ELASTOCOAT with 1 kg OPC or PPC thoroughly. Apply this slurry coat by brush over the surface. Allow the surface to be touch-dry. Apply the second coat over the first coat, preferably in a perpendicular direction to the first coat. Let the system set for 24 hours. Protect the treatment during the curing period from mechanical disturbances, water splashes, direct sunlight Of heat. Cure the treatment by water for 3 days. Let the coat air-dry after that. Wash hands and tools with plenty of water and Soap.
Application:
Damp-proofing of walls
